Dead End House was great. Was it gory and violently brutal, absolutely! But more importantly what you accomplished was the telling of a story. Not just a story, but a GOOD story. At times I felt guilty for enjoying the book. You definitely succeeded there.Modern Splatterpunk seems to be more and more about how gross can it be. This story far exceeded those perimeters.
Thank you for saying that. It's always the most important thing to me. There's a lot of so-called "extreme" horror around these days, but for me story always matters more than extreme-ness. I could never write a story solely based around being gross just for the sake of it. Being gross is great, buy make it interesting, not just some grade school gag. And that concludes my ornery old man rant for the day.
